Troop 164 Eagle Scout
Belk Scout Camp
Tree Donation Legacy Program
Eagle Scouts of Troop 164:
I hope this note finds you well in your journeys after your time in Boy Scouts.
The Troop would like to honor you and send a representation of your accomplishment across our District and Council.
In 2020, Belk Scout Camp was severely impacted by both an infestation and a blight, affecting an enormous percentage of its forest. What was once a dense collection of pines and hardwoods, has been reduced to clumps of trees and a lot of empty lands. We, as a Troop, have committed to replanting at least 113 trees to represent the Eagle Scouts of Troop 164. The Troop will be recognized for our efforts and we will help rebuild this Scout training and camping ground. Who among us does not remember a Camporee, OA Fellowship, Ordeal, O'ree or weekend campout at Belk Scout Camp. It's time to give back!
We are asking for help from past Eagle Scouts to give back into Scouting by supporting a tree, or more. Each tree costs $70, we are accepting donations of one tree or a forest-worth.
If you are interested in helping out, please follow this link to donate.
Thank you to everyone who takes part.
Yours in Scouting,
Brian Hegner, Scoutmaster Troop 164 & Eagle Scout
